No.RERC/Secy./Reg./22 In order to bring harmony in the periodicity of testing of meters prescribed in the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Distribution Licensee’s Standards of Performance) Regulations, 2003, and the “Metering Code for Distribution Licensee”, the Commission, in exercise of powers conferred on it by Section 10 read with Section 57 of the Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Act, 1999 (Act No.23 of 1999), makes the following amendments in the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Distribution Licensee’s Standards of Performance) Regulations, 2003 -
“ (1) Sub regulations (a) & (b) of regulation 9 (i) shall be substituted by the
Sub regulations (a), (b), (bb), (bbb) as under:
(a) All HT/EHT consumers with contract demand exceeding 500 KVA: at least once in six months
(b) All HT consumers with contract demand upto 500 KVA, Medium Industrial & Small Industrial consumers: at least once in a year
(bb) Other Low tension consumers except Domestic services: at least once in every two years
(bbb) Domestic Service consumers: at least once in every five years”
(2) Item no. 8 and 9 of Appendix ‘C’ of the Regulations shall be substituted by the following -
“Regular Inspection, checking & testing of metering system/meters of
