            No.RERC/Secy./Reg./ 18       : In exercise of powers conferred on it by Section 57 and other enabling provisions under the Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Act, 1999 (Act No.23 of 1999), Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following regulations, namely:

1.                  Short Title & Commencement:

(1) These regulations shall be called the “ Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Amendments to Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2003”.

(2)These regulations shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette.

2.                  Amendments:

The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission hereby makes the following amendment to the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission  (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2000,namely:

(1) In regulation 6, the word “Commission” occurring at the end shall be substituted by the word “Chairperson”.

(2) In regulation 19,

 (i) In the first line, the word  “proceedings” shall be substituted by the words “proceedings in respect of any matter”

 (ii) After the words “in support of”, the word  ‘petition’ shall be substituted    by the words “matter in issue”

 (iii) After the expression “if it considers appropriate”, for the words “issue orders………of the petition” the words  “publish a notice” shall be substituted

(3) In regulation 25, the words “ The fees as may be prescribed by the Commission shall be payable along with the Petition” shall be deleted.

(4) In regulation 29,

(i)     for the words “decline to accept”,  the word “reject” shall be substituted.

(ii)   In the proviso, for the word ‘refused’, the word ‘rejected’ shall be substituted.

(5) After regulation 33, a new regulation 33 A shall be added as follows:

“ 33A. On perusal of the petition, the Commission may call for any additional information/documents, which it considers necessary for a decision on the petition”

                  (6) In regulation 40,

(i) for the word “petition”, the words “notice of the petition” shall be substituted.

(ii) the word “advertised” wherever occurring shall be substituted by the word “published”.

    (7) In clause (1) of regulation 47 for the words “advertisement and publication issued” the words “notice published” shall be substituted.
